Watch The Top 5 Moments From Roger Federer’s 20th Grand Slam Win

“I’m so happy. It’s unbelievable,” said Roger Federer, holding back his tears during the presentation ceremony of the 2018 Australian Open.

Of course, winning is an absolute dream come true — the fairy tale continues for us, for me, after the great year I had last year, it’s incredible.” The year 2017 started for Roger Federer with an unlikely victory over his rival Rafael Nadal in Melbourne.

He hadn’t won any Grand Slam since Wimbledon 2012 and yet last year came as a second wind of his glorious career as he beat Nadal in all four majors.

2018 started off brilliantly for Federer as he clinched the Australian Open title after an exhilarating match-up.

Let’s take a look at some of the most spectacular moments from the Australian Open 2018, which is the 20th Grand Slam win in the already illustrious career of Roger Federer:

Having fought his way to the finals, Federer’s Croatian opponent Marin Cilic seemed overwhelmed by the occasion.

He seemed terribly under pressure and his erroneous backhand shots in the final stages of the game were enough for Roger Federer to capitalize on the title.

Federer was declared the winner when the replay showed that his serve was just in by a whisker and that spelled the story of a brilliant comeback for the tennis legend.

Cilic had challenged the un-returned serve but to no avail, as Roger Federer showed his brilliance and longevity yet again to strengthen his case as the greatest tennis player of them all.

Another year, another record for the maestro!
