Eid was just a couple of days ago and the merriment was sure visible. The internet is known to produce a lot of funky and weird stuff that is bound to render us shocked if not chuckle. The festival of Eid or Eid-ul-Fitr celebrates the culmination of the holy month of Ramadan that involves 29-30 days of dawn-to-dusk fasting.
Now having said that I’d like you to meet Aadar Malik.
One of the comedians of the YouTube page SnG Comedy, Aadar performed a heartfelt eulogy to his goat that sadly bid us goodbye this Wednesday. The goat ultimately found its way back into Aadar’s life in the form of well, a delectable Biryani.
The song will tickle your funny bone but at the same time, it adorably explains Aadar’s reluctance for his pet goat’s sacrifice. Raised as a Muslim, Aadar’s culture binds him to sacrifice his goat by the final day of Ramadan and distribute its meat to needful. The significance of doing so lies in the act of giving up something you love for the sake of others.
Well if history has taught us anything, it’s that you can kill anyone.
Naturally, the whole idea behind the ritual killing of animals got lost somewhere down the lane and hence, is condemned by many. Including veteran actor Irrfan Khan.
Okay, that was way too much serious talk.
Getting back to the goat song, Aadar’s fabulous eulogy not only comprises of his love for his goat but also features a totally cacophonic chorus, lyrics about him feeding imported cashews to his goat, selfies with him hanging out with the goat and selfies with him kissing the goat.
