The Top 5 Fantasy Premier League Bargains (2017-18)

-

FPL is a craze among football fanatics and millions of people take part in it. The thing is newbies don’t choose players based on strategies and logic but more on instinct and loyalty.

So, here’s a list of 6 bargain buys in the new FPL window which should be a certainty in everyone’s team.

1. Dwight Gayle (6.5)- Newcastle United

He racked up an impressive 10 goals while he was playing for Crystal Palace in the 2014 season and is a proven PL pedigree. Underrated is a term often used for him. With Newcastle being promoted to PL this season, one can expect Gayle to light up PL.

Being a favorite of Rafa Benitez, he is expected to start many matches and his thunderous pace and neat finishing is one to look forward to.

2. Leroy Sane (8.5)- Manchester City

People are going gaga over Jesus and rightly so but the one player that they have been ignoring all along is Sane. Sane is one to watch out.

He became a regular starter in the latter of the previous PL campaign and has never looked back, consistently chipping in with assists, goals, and points. Pep has spent all the dollars on defenders this current season and in Silva who is a No. 10. Sane who plies his trade on the wings will be a force to reckon with.

3. Wes Morgan (4.5)- Leicester

Under Craig Shakespeare, Leicester will be a well old defensive unit. Their pattern of attack was very predictable as dissected by Mourinho when Ranieri was the coach. As soon as Craig took over the mantles, the defense unit became solid and Wes Morgan was a big part of it. He is big, experienced, captain and has a winning mentality.

Instead of choosing overrated players like Lovren, it would be a no- brainer to go with Wes Morgan at just 4.5.

4. Tom Heaton (5.0)- Burnley

Going by the stats, he scored 149 points and had 10 clean sheets, 142 saves, and 21 bonus points. He is touted to be England’s main goalkeeper for the 2018 World Cup and that should alone quell any doubts over his ability.

Burnley is the most difficult team to beat at home after the Top 6 teams and this has been exemplified by its performance last year. It would be a foolish move to not include Heaton in your FPL team.

5. Gareth McAuley (5.0)- West Brom

There are not too many centre-halves who get to top their club’s goal-scoring charts. Well, if you need one, call up the backbone of WestBrom, Gareth McAuley.

It is just perplexing to see football fanatics missing out on him. A Tony Pulis side is a miser when it comes to conceding goals. A Tony Pulis side scores mostly headed goals in PL. Gareth is one of the keys to the successful implementation of both the tactics.

At 5, he must be in your team.
