It is highly unlikely that we will see Neymar wearing a PSG jersey and plying his trade in one of the weakest leagues in the world, Ligue 1.
In a hypothetical world, if the transfer does go through, the Brazilian wizard will become the most expensive player in the world and it will create a domino effect in the current turbulent transfer market and the strategies of all major clubs in the world will go for a merry go round.
We look at the possible scenarios if Neymar were to leave Barca-
1. Alexis Sanchez – Barcelona
He is the best possible alternative for Neymar in the world. Arsenal is playing in Europa league. Sanchez wants to play for a CL club and moreover dreams of winning it. Going back to the club which elevated him to the level he is at today would be great for his career and ambitions. Neymar might be just a shade level better than Sanchez but one can expect nothing less than 100% from the Arsenal forward.

2. Coutinho To Barca and Dembele to Liverpool
New Barcelona boss Ernesto Valverde is keen to bolster his ranks ahead of next season as he looks to reclaim the La Liga title from bitter rivals Real Madrid. Coutinho has been earmarked as a potential arrival at the Nou Camp to play alongside Messi and be the heir to Iniesta.
We all know that Liverpool is a selling elite club. If Chelsea can steal Torres from under the nose of Scousers on the last transfer day, anything can happen.
If this happens, one can expect Dembele to come to Liverpool as Klopp has been a long admirer of the mercurial talent and can use his connections at his former club to facilitate the transfer.
3. Herrera to Barcelona and Renato Sanches to United
Valverde and Herrera forged a close personal bond during their time together at San Mames, and the new Camp Nou boss will be more than eager to build his new Barca midfield around the United star should he persuade his former charge to join him in Catalunya.
He is a type of player who breaks the opponent’s play, passes the ball forward and chips in with important goals now and then. Renato Sanches is the perfect replacement for Ander at United. He has fallen out of favor at Munich and United would do well to buy him if Herrera were to leave the Reds.
4. Verrati may finally come to Barca
Verrati could be involved in a swoop deal for Neymar but this is the unlikeliest of all circumstances because PSG seems to be activating the release clause of Neymar and not directly negotiating a deal with Barca.
But with Verrati dumping his agent and appointing Raiola as his new agent, things can change for the better for the Italian maestro.
5. Shift Of European Power
Most importantly, there would be a shift in the European domination. Only Madrid would be fighting for the top honors in Europe from the Spanish continent. Taking into consideration the performances of last year, Barca minus Neymar won’t be a force in Europe.
PSG will be a force to reckon with and with the PL sides outspending the top sides in the world, this might be a watershed moment in the history of Barcelona.
