Our government is very concerned about controlling the population explosion and rightly so. However, the means that the government employs to normalize the population growth curve is solely directed at mass sterilisation of women.

Tubectomy, a procedure which often has significant complications seems to be the only option for our government.

It seems as if the practices of condoms and vasectomy is unheard of by the policy makers. Or is it that the reproductive rights of poor, rural women are not worth much so, why bother?

It is time more attention is paid to male contraception which is both cheaper and simpler in terms of execution.
