The Latest Coffee House On The Block: We LivED It

Tired of the hustle and bustle of the city? This is your place. Nestled away in a basement at the end of Majnu Ka Tila market, Coffee House is a humble abode to spend some quality time with yourself.

How to Reach

Nearest metro station is Vidhan Sabha from where one can easily find an e-rickshaws for Majnu Ka Tila market.

A cab or a private vehicle is an option but parking can be an issue.

Timings

8 a.m. – 10 p.m, open all 7 days. Reach early to grab your hands on their breakfast menu!

Must Haves At this Coffee House

The appetizing home-baked cakes and pies are what they serve best. The rich Mud Cake is to die for!

Apart from these delicacies, they serve an impressive array of drinks including coffee (espresso, black coffee, cappuccino, latte or mocha), tea, fresh juices and mocktails.

What we laid our hands on

We ordered a cup of latte and mocha each along with an apple pie. It was one big heavenly apple pie, baked to the perfect temperature and served warm. So if you are a desert enthusiast, go visit the place!

What’s extraordinary?

The ambiance with its warm yellow lights and cosy interior has the smell of fresh coffee in the air all the time! (Irresistible, isn’t it?). Amazing innovative posters on the walls add on to the vibe!

Also, nobody will come to you to take your order. Instead you have to write your order on the little post-it notes they have on each table and hand it to them.

They also let you know the password for their Wi-Fi (little piece of advice- when you think they are saying “safety belt”, it’s actually “Safe Tibet”) So, an idle place to work, write and read (they have a bookshelf too).

Easy on the pocketbook

It costs around Rs 400 for two people. Desert section is exceptionally economical with respect to the quality they offer!

A few drawbacks

Not a place for large group hangouts since seating can be an issue. It lacks a washroom too.

If you want to finish that book you’ve carried with you for too long or have a tete-a-tete with a close friend, while you sip on some hot coffee, we recommend you this place!
