As another exhilarating Premier League season draws close, we take a look at the losers and winners of this season. Also, before Harry Kane steps in and claims this article as his, I’d like to swear on my future daughter/son and tell you that I’ve written this article on my own.

Friendly notice: Our list of losers and winners includes players and teams both, with regards to their performances in the 2017-18 Premier League season only.

So without further ado, here we go:

1. Losers: Chelsea

Chelsea did exactly the opposite of what they were supposed to do this season. Instead of thriving under pressure and playing the brand of efficient yet pacy and elegant football they’re used to playing, they ended up digging a hole for themselves with a horrendous transfer plan and paid the price.

2. Losers: Manchester United

A top 3 finish may be on the cards for Man United but the boring football that they’ve played in the league this season is just absolutely ridiculous. They’ve been saved and bailed out numerous times just because they have the world’s best goalkeeper, David de Gea in their team.

3. Losers: Arsenal

Just one word: LOL.

4. Losers: Paul Pogba

Paul Pogba hasn’t lived up to his price tag, so far. He’s a shadow of the player that graced the Juventus uniform. He needs to step up next season or else, United should not hesitate in selling him.

5. Winners: Liverpool

The Reds had arguably one of their best seasons, thanks to their front 3 of Firmino, Mane and the brilliant debutant Mo Salah! Add that to their European match-up against Roma (another underdog team which defeated heavyweights Barcelona), Liverpool surely look to paint the town red and finish their season on a high note.

6. Winners: Burnley

What a fantastic season for the so-called “minnows”, as they have all but sealed a European spot and even if they don’t do so (which is highly unlikely), they should be damn proud of their Premier League heroics this time.

7. Winners: The Premier League Champions, Manchester City

They won the title with 5 games to spare and have set the tone for the new season with a brilliant squad, which has the right mix of youth an experience. European ambitions after an emphatic Premier League title win is the next stop for Guardiola’s men.

8. Winners: Mohamed Salah

A goalscorer who can score at least 30 goals a season was the need of the hour for Liverpool and Mo Salah has scored 40 goals and counting, this seaon. In a brilliant debut season for the Reds, he looks set to clinch the Premier League Golden Boot award as he’s on 30 top-flight goals, as of now.
