With a reach of over 27 lakh passengers every day, the metro rail-work has definitely proved to be a blessing for Delhites.

Not only does it save them precious time that would otherwise be spent in traffic jams, but it also rescues them from the high amount of on-road pollution.

Recently, the DMRC came up with a new extension plan for the Red Line Metro which currently runs from Rithala to Dilshad Garden in East Delhi.

It is now supposed to be extended from Dilshad Garden to New Bus Adda Metro in Ghaziabad, thus enabling commuters from the interiors of the National Capital Region (NCR) to travel easily to Delhi.

According to reports, it has already been tested for operation and will very soon hit the rail-tracks.

Here is some information about the new Red line extension that may prove helpful to you –
