It wasn’t exactly a walk in the park for Real Madrid as the reigning Ballon d’Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo missed a penalty after scoring a header goal which could’ve easily secured the game for Real Madrid but the host made late amends with Marcelo striking a brilliant solo goal to continue his stunning form and rescue the 3 points.

Valencia started off strong in the 1st minute itself as an awkward clearance from Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos allowed them a gilt chance to score just 57 seconds in. Santi Mina hit the post but after that, Madrid turned on their game!

Cristiano Ronaldo stepped up to take it but his effort lacked the usual power and his spot kick was saved by Diego Alves.

The pressure continued to ramp up with Ronaldo missing from a tight angle from 3 yards after a sublime cross from Marco Asensio, who’s now a bit of a young sensation among the Bernabeu faithful.

Things went worse for Real Madrid as Valencia clawed an equalizer after a stunning free kick from Dani Parejo hit the top corner and Keylor Navas couldn’t save it even after getting a hand to it.

But well, it’s never over without a dramatic late show in the Bernabeu.

Marcelo, who had been amazing throughout the game was found on the left by a teasing cross, he cut inside and scored a GOLAZO as they call it past Diego Alves and sent the Bernabeu fans into euphoria.
