A piece of interesting news about the opening ceremony: Sachin Tendulkar will be part of the opening ceremony! Wow! Having retired from international cricket after a brilliant ride of 24 years, he will be present at the ceremony as the Global Goodwill Ambassador of the UNICEF. Unicef is a partner with the Glasgow CWG organisers and Commonwealth Games federation. The partnership is a step towards creating awareness about the childerns’ problems.
